Legacy Golf Club
About
Enjoyable Jack Nicklaus design that's seen better days
Located just 40 minutes from central Bangkok and the only Jack Nicklaus-designed course in the region, Legacy Golf Club is an enjoyable parkland course built around two lakes that maintains decent conditions despite high traffic and aging grass. While in need of an upgrade—not least because the fairways can become quite soggy during the rainy season—its wide fairways, tight approaches, and waste bunkers present a challenge for both amateur and professional golfers alike.
The course measures over 7,100 yards from the back tees, but with five tee boxes to choose from, it caters to players of all skill levels. Nearly half of the holes have water in play, and the moderately-paced greens are undulating and usually protected by deep bunkers. The par-4 16th hole is especially difficult, with a large island green peppered with sand traps offering a compelling challenge.
The large clubhouse boasts a casual eatery and numerous event spaces. The service is satisfactory, and the Japanese cuisine, in particular, is reasonably priced and delicious. The locker rooms are outdated and could benefit from a renovation. Golf carts are required, which is regrettable because the flat course is ideal for walking.
Overall, the Legacy Golf Club provides a decent golf experience and is suitable for players of all levels.
Reviews
Good maintained course
Fairway and greens were fair considering the conditions. Greens are fast but it was recently punched so there signs of it still there. Caddy were more helpful but unfortunately on and off on green reads. Very inconsistent. I would play again here. Had food here as well, waitress and waiters do not understand English well and needs to work together.Great day of golf. Service was very good. Caddies were friendly.
Course we'll maintained. The conditions suits intermediate golfers. Not too much water hazards. Would benefit from on course marshells to speed up slow players. Club house food was very good.I would never play this course again
The course condition was good. Although the worst caddy I've ever played in Thailand, there is a note in cart saying, " Suggested tip for caddy is 500 baht." Only cold water came out from the shower.Course Info
