About
Visually stunning top-tier course with plenty of water
Ranked as one of the best courses in Thailand (it's been nominated for the honour three years in a row by the World Golf Awards), Riverdale Golf Club is a top-tier Bangkok golf course designed by Jonathan Morrow and Al Tikkanen, creators of the famed Red Mountain in Phuket. Intelligent routing and elevation changes combine to create a challenging and visually stunning course whose ever-present water presents a stiff challenge.
The course features several large lakes that were created by dredging to form the hills surrounding the golf course and framing most of the holes. Although there is not much to see beyond the perimeter, as factories and small villages dominate, the immaculately groomed links quickly reveal their charm and challenges, starting with the gently sloping downhill opener.
Riverdale's beauty lies in the interplay of gently rolling fairways, many small reed-lined lakes, raised greens, excellent bunkering, and large hills that break up some of the openness inherent in the layout. While the back nine is a hooker's nightmare, with water on the left side of every hole, it's the closing stretch of the front nine that stands out.
The signature par-5 6th requires requires threading your way between numerous bunkers, including one absolute monster down the right side, to reach the very well protected green. That's followed by a dog-leg left par-4 with another astonishing array of bunkers, notably to the right of the green, while the twin-green par-3 8th plays either to a water-protected island or postage-stamp green guarded by a pot bunker.
After playing the 18 holes and hopefully coming through with a scorecard relatively intact, the clubhouse, with its contemporary styling overlooking the 10th and 18th holes, provides a cool spot to enjoy refreshments. The locker rooms are elegant and provide excellent changing facilities akin to those of a 5-star private members golf club.

Decent experience
Course unfortunately still recovering from hollow coring making playing hard to enjoy The course design is great though . The caddies assigned to us were of mixed experience and interest . Ok price for a Sunday afternoonEverything was so well organised from arrival to finishing the game.
Very good condition with some challenging holes in play. In short the course is very well maintained.Truly a wonderful experience for our group .
Excellent condition. Fun to play and not too strenuous since cart on fairways is permitted. Caddies are friendly and line reading on greens are good.Course Info
